Congratulations to the Myrtle Beach Marathon Winners!

Stuart Moran of Arden, NC won the 15th annnual Bi-Lo Myrtle Beach Marathon with a record unoffical time of 02:26:46.

Ndhlovu Pardon of Pembroke, NC won the Dasani Half Marathon with a new unofficial record of 01:07:57.

2012 CanAm Days Are Coming

For four decades, Myrtle Beach has hosted the Canadian-American Days Festival. Pirates Take Over Myrtle Beach

Pirates Voyage has docked in the paradise of Myrtle Beach, SC. What was formerly known as Dixie Stampede has now been changed to a new dinner theme theater called Pirates Voyage. The production upgrades for the new adventure attraction took 5 months to remodel and cost $11 million. The much anticipated show opened in June 2011. The theater features a buccaneer battle with a 5-course pirate feast, spectacular acrobatic competition, live animals and a brand new original music score by Dolly Parton.

Spirits of Blackbeard and his buccaneers, Captain Kidd and Anne Bonnie that once sailed the coast of the Carolinas have come to life in Myrtle Beach's newest show in many years. Guests will experience the boasting excitement of 2 pirate camps as they battle for the lost treasure. Pirates Voyage just might take your breath away as the Crimson and Sapphire pirates battle each other on deck, in the water and in the sky above their full-sized pirate ships in a 15 ft. deep, 750,000 gallon, indoor, hideaway lagoon. Let Your Imagination Run Wild at WonderWorks

The newest attraction in Myrtle Beach's Broadway at the Beach, WonderWorks, is an "Amusement Park for the Mind". The attraction opened in the Spring of 2011. This is the fourth location of WonderWorks, but the first of its kind in the Carolinas. The costs of construction of the attraction were an estimated $13 million. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk took nine months to build, cost close to $7 million and is made up of nearly 800,000 feet of lumber. Builders used about 300,000 nails, 555,000 screws and 10,000 bolts to complete the project!

SkyWheel Myrtle Beach - Now Open! 
Located alongside the newly opened one mile plus Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, this giant oceanfront attraction will stand 18 stories high (196 feet) and includes 42 glass enclosed, temperature controlled gondolas that can hold up to six people.  Enjoy the full service Jimmy Buffet's Landshark Bar and Grill, observation deck overlooking the ocean, gift shop and evening light shows.

Sea Mist's Newest Renovation

Unique by design, there are as many as 50 different room types to choose from at Sea Mist. The newest is a nice ocean view, 2 room suite  located in the Sandcastle Building.  One room is the living room & dining area with a pull out sofa bed.  The other room is a bedroom with 2 double beds.  There is a balcony in both rooms. Already in demand,  these units are complete  all kitchen appliances, 2 full baths, and a full size washer and dryer.  Sea Mist hopes to have more of these in the near future.
